Any Dachshund will tell you: Dachshunds do not like to sunbathe; such trifling pursuits are left to cats. This is a lie. Please observe the Dachshund sunning his port side:

Mr. Smush Head

I thought it'd be helpful for all to know how Dachshunds navigate the city in cold weather. The Dachshund wraps himself in a warm blanket, loads himself into a canvas bag, smashes his periscope out the top of the bag, and calls out directions to his "carrier." The ears also help with navigation.

Mr. Weather Watch

Well, Bug woke up this morning to the sound of water gushing into the apartment. While everyone else stood around screaming, he maintained the doggedly cool composure of Cool Hand Luke. He donned his foul-weather gear, complete with reflective-safety-strip-mechanism-for- the-safety-of-small-to-very-small-animals, and raced about setting up pots to rein in the deluge. Thank you Bug. Once again we owe you our lives.
